About Us

Sugar Bush Farm was created by Roderick McKinnon in 1920's. The property encompasses several hundred acres of pristine forest land with several private lakes.

Sugar Bush Farm has been used as a vacation home and the forest for the production of Maple Syrup from the early forties until 1969 when the final batch was created.

Today, Roderick McKinnon III has decided to restore many of the historic buildings into year round rentals.

These rental properties include The Red House, The Secret Lake House, The Caboose and the Vair house. Each one of these homes has a historic background, and we are in the process of updating each of them. When this process is complete we hope to create vacation home that are enjoyable for winter or summer fun. As they become ready for rent, they will be added to this website.

We strive to provide an enjoyable experience in the North Woods of Wisconsin, and on the magnificent Cisco Chain of Lakes. This is one of the largest chains in America offering boaters and fishermen an incredible choice of waterways to enjoy. Sugar Bush is next door to the Historic Bent's Camp Resort which offers great food and a wonderful birch bark bar overlooking Mamie Lake.
